Chako: Hey Log, did you know that Matsui has been appointed as the new manager? I’m really excited about it!
Log: Yeah, I heard. It seems Joe Torre has a high opinion of Matsui.
Chako: I heard Torre told Matsui to “stay true to yourself”!
Log: That’s great advice. There’s a lot of expectation for his managerial skills, but it’s a bit concerning that he doesn’t have much experience.
Navi: I think Matsui will be able to draw on his experiences as a player. Building trust with the players will be especially important.
Chako: I see! In that case, let’s all support him!

Admin’s Note

The words of encouragement from Mr. Torre regarding the appointment of the new manager Matsui are very reassuring. In particular, his advice to “stay true to yourself” highlights the importance of Matsui leading the team while valuing his own style. While there are concerns about his lack of managerial experience, I hope to see a coaching approach based on his extensive experience as a player. I’m looking forward to the upcoming team-building for the Giants, and as a fan, I want to continue supporting them.
